    The Nintendo Game Boy featured multiplayer games using a link cable with very low throughput. The trick was deterministic simulation, which is still a useful technique today. This talk will take a look at how different types of online games can use deterministic simulation to reduce network traffic and gives practical tips on implementation.

    Attendees will learn how to use deterministic simulation in different types of online games, including what to do and what not to do. David will also take a look at deterministic random number generation.
