The European Innovative Games Showcase (EIGS) at GDC Europe's Independent Games Summit returns for its third edition, showcasing the most intriguing and different independent games from all over Europe. Each selected game is going to showcase what's unique and special about their in-development or already released game in a series of fascinating mini-talks. Come and get inspired!
The winning games and studios of 2016 (in no specific order): A Normal Lost Phone (Accidental Queens), La Petite Mort (Lovable Hat Cult), Wheels of Aurelia (Santa Ragione), DEEP (DEEP), Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist (Crows Crows Crows), Crest (Eat Create Sleep), On Rusty Trails (Black Pants Game Studio), #SelfieChaos (Greenfly Studios), Shoot to Kill (Peardrum)
This session gives a platform to developers who are discovering new territory in the world of games. In this showcase the speakers will explore the near future of games through their prototypes or nearly finished games. The sharing of new and unexplored ideas hopefully inspires the audience and provides a preview of what the future of the medium might look like.
The only prerequisite is an interest in innovation of games as a medium.
