Entertainment is an important part of everyday life. From TV, to film, to games, players expect more from everything they purchase; players expect a service.

Live services are the key to player engagement. However, making the transition from a disc to a live service is difficult. You need to understand your players and your team needs to be set up for success with the right mindset and focus. This presentation will walk through the steps 'Need for Speed' took when transitioning from traditional DLC to a Live Service and hopefully provide some valuable insights for attendees when making their own transition.

Attendees will gain insight into a selection of key concepts that can help teams transition from a AAA disc product into a successful Live Service. The best practices shared will inspire the audience and give them information and tools to make their own transition.

    Intended Audience

This talk will be interesting for experienced game developers including producers, project managers and designers plus novice game developers. Essentially, anyone who is looking to set up and create a successful Live Service or is interested in finding out more information. No pre-requisite knowledge required.
