Greg Short entered the video game industry in 1990 and over the next 25 years created multiple organizations for online media, marketing, data, research, and education. After successfully leading many of his early activities in the interactive entertainment industry to exits, he co-founded EEDAR in 2006. As CEO, Greg grew EEDAR to one of the most recognized and respected research firms in the industry. His vision to deliver a broad, big-data approach to research activities for video games was many years ahead of its time, and EEDAR's unique approach allowed him to develop new ways of extracting data value in the form of contextual analytics, the basis for his first book The Billion Dollar Paperclip: Think Smarter About Your Data. Currently, as the President of IEP, Greg is working with other industry leader to solve one of the most critical issues facing the industry: the need for career education and leadership development to transform the workplaces and talent of the interactive entertainment. Greg believes the best way to develop future generations of industry professionals is by sharing the wisdom and experience that has been obtained through the endeavors of the workforce over the last 50 years. Born in Australia, Greg currently resides in Austin, TX.
